Social Espresso set up to provide a high quality event coffee service, with exceptional coffee and great customer service. We had a great start in 2016, but last year was even better.
In January we took delivery of some lovely new Mazzer coffee grinders, and immediately put them to work at a three day ESPA press event in London’s Soho, followed by events for Revlon and at the Duke of York’s Theatre in London.
February got busier, and then March saw us running our first overseas event in Spain. The coffee machines were all packed up and shipped out early in the month, and then we dispatched three of our baristas, who served 3,000 coffees at the event, using two machines and 300 litres of milk!
In April we were back providing coffee for events all over the UK, including a trip to beautiful Yorkshire, another great track day event, a press day for Diesel with our colleagues at Social Pantry, and then again working with Social Pantry at a Harvey Nichols press day.
We rolled out a branded coffee bar at another great track day at Donington Park circuit in May, and further events for White Stuff and Coast Events. May was also Social Espresso’s first anniversary, and we looked back with pride at everything we’d achieved, including another 3,000 coffees for an event in Marseilles.
June included events with White Stuff, Asos, Office Shoes, Google (for the General Election night 2017 coverage on TV), and we were off again to Madrid for a multi-day event, it was seriously hot as well!
In July, in a departure from our usual event coffee catering, we installed several machines, including a newly painted Spaziale, at an exciting new venue in Epsom, where we also provided barista training along with our speciality coffee. At the end of the month we provided a barista bar for a wedding for the first time, shame about the rain though…
August was relatively quiet, giving us time to prepare for a busy autumn season. But the end of the month saw us back at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire amongst some serious automotive kit at Salon Prive 2018, where we were serving event coffee for some of our regular clients.
September kicked off with three events in one day, in London, Oxford and Spain, followed by a busy few weeks serving coffee at the likes of TopShop at London Fashion Week, and at Harvey Nichols for the launch of Rhianna’s new beauty line, Fenty Beauty. We also did an event in Shoreditch, serving over 1000 coffees in one seriously busy day.
In October we were with Ferrari for a track day, also with FeelUnique, and then a press day for Levi’s, once again with our colleagues from Social Pantry. There were more conferences and track days (we’ve done a number of track days and events over the past 12 months with Ferrari now… and are still wondering when we’ll get given a new Ferrari!).
November started with a whopping twenty one events in the first two weeks (which included Social Espresso’s busiest week so far!), which saw us delivering our exceptional event coffee service in London, Harrogate, Manchester, Newcastle, Dublin, Cardiff and Glasgow, for customers including Primark, Matalan, Google and BooHoo.
Finally, as things began to slow down a bit in December, we did a photoshoot for Costa coffee, and a final event for Google in Ireland alongside the great folks at @wonderlondon.
We’re now fully up and running for 2018, and are looking forward to many more events in many different places, including Nice, Helsinki, Paris, Stockholm and Krakow. Bring it on!
