What power do you need for the mobile coffee machines at venues?

A standard single coffee machine service requires:

  • 1x 3kW (13 amp) dedicated socket for the coffee machine
  • 1x 2kW (13 amp) socket for other equipment (grinder, water pump, etc.)

Both need to be located and accessible under the bar.

Do you need access to water or can you operate self-contained?
Social Espresso organise all fresh and waste water. All we need for our mobile coffee machine is access to a standard power socket.
How much space/footprint does a typical mobile coffee bar require?
Our typical mobile coffee bar requires a footprint of approximately 1.5m wide and 1.5m deep.
How long do you need for set-up and breakdown?
Set-up is usually around 45 minutes (up to 1 hour in larger venues).
Breakdown after the event takes around 30 minutes, depending on the venue size.

What is your typical serving speed (drinks per hour) per barista/machine?
On average, one barista with one coffee machine can prepare 50-60 drinks per hour and our two-barista service can produce around 80 drinks per hour.
Do you provide water waste capture and tidy waste disposal?
Yes, our waste system is neatly contained under the coffee bar and emptied at the end of service.
Are your machines PAT tested and do you provide RAMS and insurance docs?
All Social Espresso equipment (coffee machines, grinders, etc.) are regularly PAT tested, and we provide up-to-date RAMS and insurance documentation on request.
Do you have public/product liability insurance and food hygiene certifications?
Yes. Social Espresso hold valid Public Liability insurance and Food Hygiene certifications, all available on request.
Can staff work under NDA and comply with venue security checks?
Yes. Our event barista team is very experienced in working with high-profile clients requiring NDAs and security checks.
Do you meet venue compliance standards at sites like ExCeL, Olympia and NEC?
Yes. We are a registered vendor with ExCeL London and regularly work at Olympia in London and at the NEC in Birmingham, fully meeting their compliance standards.
