Smooth as Silk
Our service is designed to be smooth and effortless. We set up our coffee bars quickly and unobtrusively, all we need is access to two 13 amp plug sockets.
Once set up, our friendly and welcoming baristas keep your wedding guests happy by serving them freshly made barista coffee as good as they get from their favourite specialty coffee shop. We also provide specialty tea, hot chocolate and can even supply freshly made smoothies and juices, we’ll customise our service exactly the way you want it.
What’s more, every aspect of our wedding coffee bar service can be fully customised to match the theme of your wedding. Our baristas can wear theme branded aprons, our smoothies can be customised to match the colours of the wedding, or why not have a theme branded coffee bar or custom cappuccino stencil?

Castle Howard & garden
In the summer of 2024 Social Espresso were asked to provide two wedding coffee bars for a luxury wedding reception at Castle Howard in North Yorkshire.
Castle Howard is more of a palace than a house! In the 1980s it became famous as the fictional ‘Brideshead’ in two screen adaptations of the book ‘Brideshead Revisited’, in much the same way Highclere Castle has recently become world famous as the home of the Crawley family in ‘Downtown Abbey’. The interior also featured in the recent series ‘Victoria’.
Although open to the public, Castle Howard is also a spectacular location for private functions including weddings and receptions, with society figures and celebrities like Ellie Goulding using it for their weddings. And such a high-quality venue requires an equally high-quality wedding coffee bar service.
A 5 million pound wedding!
Social Espresso provided two coffee bars for the wedding reception which was held the day after the main wedding (the whole event reputedly cost in the region of £5,000,000). There were high-class food and cocktails, live music from artists like Craig David, and even vitamin infusion drips available for guests.
And alongside all that we had four baristas working on our coffee bars, serving around 300 coffees to guests over a ten-hour period. And to make sure our wedding barista service fitted in with the classy venue, the baristas wore our standard uniform of smart white shirts with grey trousers and grey aprons.
What was also great was that we’ve worked several times before with the wedding catering company who were being used for this event too. It’s always good to work alongside other suppliers that we have a good relationship with, as each one of us can concentrate on their own area of expertise and provide the very best service to the client and their guests.
Not the usual gig
All in all, this was not your run-of-the-mill event for Social Espresso. We got to serve great quality beverages in a truly stunning location – from the Great Hall with its jaw-dropping dome to the extensive gardens and parkland (complete with peacocks!), Castle Howard certainly was one of the classiest places we’ve provided our wedding coffee service.
